A leading member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), retired captain Nkrabea Effah Dartey seems to doubt the likelihood of his party remaining in government if elections were to be held now.
Even though he believes in the government led by Nana Addo, he asked the question to get opinions on how the governance of the NPP is doing.
“We should ask ourselves, will the NPP win power if an election is held today?he asks himself in an interview with NEAT FMmorning show, Montie from Ghana.
Retired Captain Nkrabea Effah Dartey was talking about the recent coup agitation by some activists linked to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, the aim of the government led by Nana Addo is to improve the lives of Ghanaians and to work out how the NPP will retain power in the upcoming elections.
“The coup is totally irrelevant, the situation in Ghana is not so bad to call for a coup,” he noted.
