Branded content and native advertising have become commonplace, but what does the good look like? When does an article or image turn into an effective media strategy? The Drum Awards for Content celebrate the work that crosses the branded content space.
This year’s awards were chaired by a stellar jury which included Gemma Hitchens of the Financial Times, Angela R Barber of Wunderman Thompson, Vinti Bhatnagar of Adidas, Janine Smith of Channel 4 and Richard Philips of National Geographic.
Hitchens and Barber, the UK and US presidents of the jury, recently sat down with The Drum’s media editor John McCarthy to talk about the growing importance of social media in the lockdown and the moments that shaped the year last. You can watch this full interview here.
