As former CM Parkash Singh Badal visited a hospital in Mohali for a check-up, his daughter-in-law Harsimrat Kaur Badal and aide-former CM Haryana Om Prakash Chautala today held strong in his native territory of Conch. Both separately visited some villages seeking to vote for Badal.

Addressing the villagers, the INLD supremo asked voters to elect Badal to ensure development and harmony. “The BJP-run center is dividing people along communal lines. Moreover, the condition of farmers is deplorable under the current regime. If you really want development, then vote for Badal.
Sources said the SAD had asked INLD leaders to campaign in some constituencies that share borders with Haryana. While Chautala campaigned in Lambi today, his son Abhay will campaign in other constituencies. The INLD also entrusted electoral functions to its leaders.
Asked about the SYL channel issue, Chautala said, “Our brotherhood (from Punjab and Haryana) is very strong. There is no dispute between us. Some people deliberately try to stretch the dispute for their vested interests. —
