Do you have backups of the content you post?
Do you have a complete list of your old LinkedIn messages?
Do you have a content calendar to manage them?
Do you have a good mailing list and do you communicate regularly with your contacts by e-mail?
You own your mailing list and your content calendar.
You do not own the information you post on LinkedIn.
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but it’s important to make sure you have your own marketing infrastructure so you don’t rely too heavily on housing data on a social platform. Because anything can happen.
So what can you do? First request a full archive of data from your past posts and create a content calendar from it. Here’s how.
Do it today – it will help you manage your content better, reuse your posts and have peace of mind that you have all your content in one place on your own computer (but back it up to Dropbox or whatever also) .
And build your mailing list and your emarketing strategy. Get a CRM if you don’t already have one to manage your contacts.
