Global Sununu approval, pandemic handling, still strong

SKY STILL HIGH. Gov. Chris Sununu’s job performance continues to receive the approval of more than two-thirds of granite staters, and his handling of the COVID -19 pandemic is viewed favorably by more than 70% of his voters, according to a new poll. The latest Hampshire Survey Center poll was conducted May 13-17 among 1,824 members of the Granite State Panel, a group of about 6,000 adults who were randomly divided into subgroups to be interviewed, and showed that 68% approved of the Sununu’s performance as governor, while 27 percent disapproved and 5 percent were neutral or didn’t know enough about him to say so. Support for Sununu was widespread, with 93 percent of Republicans, 79 percent of Independents and 41 percent of Democrats expressing approval. The pandemic was approved by 72 percent of granite staters – a rebound from April, when it dipped slightly to 65 percent. His handling of the pandemic was approved by 90% of Republicans, 80% of Independents and 51% of Democrats. The survey center also asked participants what they thought about legalizing recreational marijuana – and 75% support it, 16% oppose it and 8 percent were neutral. >> READ the survey report here.

The University of New Hampshire Survey Center’s latest survey was conducted May 13-17 among 1,824 members of the Granite State Panel, a group of about 6,000 adults who were randomly divided into subgroups for interview.

He showed that 68% approved of Sununu’s performance as governor, while 27% disapproved of it and 5% were neutral or didn’t know enough about him to say so.

Support for Sununu was widespread, with 93% of Republicans, 79% of Independents and 41% of Democrats expressing their approval.
