From live experiences to quizzes, Water-Be The Change celebrates Earth Day

The national water conservation campaign, Water – Be The Change, is set to take part in Malta’s first Earth Day Green Fair as part of the International Earth Day celebrations.

As part of this year’s theme “Investing in our Planet”, the Water – Be The Change campaign will join several social enterprises and local NGOs in the first ever Earth Day Green Fair, with the aim of reaching the general public and informing them about how the Earth and its ecosystems provide us with life and sustenance.

This year’s Earth Day not only marks the 52nd anniversary of the event, but also aims to inspire governments, authorities and citizens to take concrete action towards more sustainable practices, buy from companies responsible and to play a more active role in and for the Earth. welfare.

The Earth Day Green Fair is held at Majjistral Nature and History Park and Farmoury in Manikata from April 22-24 from 11am-6pm. Admission to the event is free.

The Water – Be The Change campaign is attending the event to support the cause by promoting water conservation practices that can be easily applied at home, at work and through agricultural practices.

You can find their booth near the food court to learn how you can become a water conservation champion. At the booth you will also find exciting live experiments on the water cycle, cloud formation, water filtration and density, and the water conservation quiz – perfect activities for curious minds.

People are encouraged to get to the site by public transport, bicycles and carpooling, all in keeping with the central message of the event.
